First Diocesan Youth Council in Kabwe

24 March, 2012  - Sacred Heart Cathedral (Kabwe)

It was a historical meeting of the First Youth Council of the new Diocese of Kabwe.  It was really encouraging to see young people from as far as Serenje. I must say the Spirit was moving. The youth were able to set few activities for 2012 in order to promote the Spirit of Unity and Collaboration.  We were also graced with the short visit of Bp. Clement.

That doesn’t happen every day

18 March, 2012  -  Salesian Community (Kabwe)

It was a special occasion  for our  community when we had a dinner  together with our Provincial Fr. George and  Bishop  Clement, the Chief in charge of Kabwe Diocese.  Indeed, as our Senior Fr. AZ   says ‘Jak to dobrze byc braciom spolem’, meaning ‘its good when brothers meet together’.

National Youth Day 2012

12 March, 2012  - DBYC (Kabwe)

Day began with celebration of the Mass in St. Mary’s Parish. I must say honestly attendance was very poor.  However in the afternoon for sports activities it was much better, there was life. There games of soccer, netball, volleyball and basketball  were going on  simultaneously.  Some Salesian Cooperators and Fr. Mariusz joined the fun.

Youth Sunday

26 February, 2012  - DBYC Kabwe

Every last Sunday of the month in St. Mary’s Parish is animated by the Youth from Small Christian Communities and our Oratory. Young people take care, on that  day, of all the duties like readings, singing, discipline in the church and announcements.  It is a good way of preparing to  take responsibilities in the future. In the afternoon all youth gather together for sharing their experiences  and discuss different issues. This time they  met at DBYC.  Next meeting will be at one of the Small Christian Communities.
