Adoption from a Distance
We want to thank those people who help the project ‘DISTANT ADOPTION’. On behalf of the children who benefit from the project a sincere word of thanks, and may all the blessing from God come upon you.
There are no words that can express our gratitude for the good work that you have all done through your financial support for our children in Kabwe. Most of out kids come from the Shanty Town called Makululu. It is said that about 80,000 people live in that compound most of whom live in extreme conditions where there is no running water (if at all), no sewerage and electricity. The number of children that are being helped by Distant Adoption is very small compared to the number of children from Makululu that are in real need of help. We truly hope that in the future we will be able to help more and more children ( we have hundreds of them). However, I have to say again, all these is possible only thanks to you, our bnefactors. Your sacrifice and commitment to this program gives us courage and strength in our daily mission in Zambia. It’s a joy to say that many of our children, because of ‘adoption’, were able to finish their schools and get a job or even go for further studies.

Recording Centre
Young people of Kabwe are very talented and number of them are slowly taking part in the production of music and some other records which keep up cultural values, transmit religious ideas and most of all help them develop their own talents, becoming also the source of their own living.
Therefore in order to help them make their dreams come true the Salesian Community of Kabwe have come up with the idea of setting up a ‘RECORDING CENTRE’ in which they will be given the chance of practising and actually recording their own production.
House of Orphaned Children
The HIV/ AIDS pandemic has been the cause of struggle in the Sub-Saharan Africa and Kabwe is not an exception. Hundreds of children of both genders are left without care and protection of their families. To those children the community has decided to give an opportunity in life by offering them services through construction of Drop In Centre in Makululu Compound. With your help we’ll be able to set up buildings to receive them and provide them with different facilities , helping them to work out their future.

New Church building
Our new church is building is in progress. We are slow but moving forward. Our sincere gratitude goes to all those who in one way or another are supporting our project. We are already using new church but we urgently need to buy face bricks for the elevation. only after that we will be able to fix windows and doors. With God’s help and yours we will one day be able to complete our church. May God bless you abundantly.
