FORMATION OF THE LAITY

3 – 5 May, 2012  -  St. Mary’s (Kabwe)

From 3rd May  to 5th May 2012 about 45 voluntary catechizers  from different  centres gathered at St. Mary’s Parish for their formation.   The main  focus of the seminar was on methodology  in teaching the  catechism.  The seminar was conducted by the  team of catechists fro St. Mary’s and Sacred  Heart Parishes.  May God  bless their work.

YES RETREAT IN KABWE DIOCESE

27-29 April, 2012  - DBYC Kabwe

For the first time the YES Retreat took place in newly created Kabwe Diocese. The participants came from as far as Serenje and Chisamba  parishes, not to mentioned new parish Chilumba, created from Mpunde parish.  Each retreat has a specific atmosphere of openness and support. It was good to see young people being there for their peers. ‘Let the youth evangelize the youth’.

Divine Mercy Sunday

15 April, 2012  -  St. John Bosco Makululu (Kabwe)

This year Divine Mercy celebration was graced by the visitors from Poland, Fr. Richard Pucilowski the Parish Priest of St. Andrew Bobola Parish  in Bialystok, North-East of Poland and Fr. Andrew’s nephew.   Fr. Richard  brought the gift to the Parish, the   Relics of Blessed Fr. Michael Sopocko, the confessor of Sister Faustina Kowalska.

Youth preparing for Easter at St. John Bosco

2 -4 April, 2012  - Makululu

From 2nd to 4th April 2012  with the  help of Salesian Co-operators we had three days  preparation for Easter organized for the Youth of St. John Bosco in Makululu. They had a good opportunity to learn more about Paschal Mysteries (Suffering, Death and Resurrection of Christ) and receive Sacrament of Confession.  Some received Confession after  many years passed. God is  great.

Palm Sunday 2012

1 April, 2012  -  Makululu (St. John Bosco)

Although it was a bit rainy weather it did not scare the multitude of Christ’s faithful from St. John Bosco church in Makululu who gathered at St. Luke  Small Christian Community and walked through the compound to the church manifesting their faith in the One who came to save us.
